This documentary is an inspiring first person account and primary source of information of nonegenarian Assamese actress Jnanada Kakati's decades of experience in cinema overcoming the challenges of a conservative mindset of the late1940's. Her first film Parghat (1949) was the seventh Assamese film. She was also one of the first Indian actresses who received international recognition for her film Puberun when it was screened at Berlin International Film Festival in 1960 for which she also received an award from President Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. It is an autobiographical documentary on veteran nonagenarian Assamese actress Jnanada Kakati whose foray into films as a wife, mother of two children, daughter-in-law and daughter in the backdrop of a conservative mindset of late 1940's was indeed challenging. Jnanada Kakoti was not only the first Assamese actress, in fact it would not be wrong to say that she was one of the first Indian actresses to receive international recognition and fame when her film 'Puberun' directed by ace film maker Prabhat Mukherjee was selected to be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival in the year 1960 where she was invited as a special guest. The film 'Puberun' was the only Indian film to participate at the Berlin International Film Festival in that year alongside films like 'Breathless' of France's Jean Luc Goddard. Jnanada Kakati received an award for the film 'Puberun' from late President Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
